Terms of Service

Last updated July 9, 2026

These terms apply when you use the hosted version of Dataembed. By using the service you agree to them. They're intentionally short — read the whole thing.

The service

Dataembed turns natural-language descriptions into structured datasets by searching the web through third-party providers. These terms cover the hosted service only — the open source code is governed by its own license, and self-hosted instances are entirely yours.

Your account and content

You own the websets you create. Keep your credentials safe; you're responsible for activity under your account. Anonymous use is allowed within the published rate limits.

Acceptable use

Don't circumvent rate limits, put abusive load on the service, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts or block traffic that violates this.

Results come from the web

Websets are built from third-party search results and pages, verified by an AI agent. Verification reduces errors but doesn't eliminate them — check the cited evidence before relying on any row.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime or that your data will never be lost — export anything you can't afford to lose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
